Protecting Your Privacy

This website is supported by the digital advertising industry and is managed by the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA). We are committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of all individuals that we interact with: past, present and future. As part of this commitment, we seek to provide you with clear information and control over the personal information we hold about you as well as other non-personal data we may collect and use when you visit this website.

Use of the “Your Online Choices” website located at and/or any software related thereto in any manner whatsoever upon any hardware platform and/or system whatsoever shall constitute your agreement with this Privacy Policy together with any use made by the above mentioned website of cookies or other data collection measures, provided that any personal and/or sensitive data collected is not tendered to third parties. Your use of the above mentioned website as specified herein also constitutes your consent to the passing on of information by means of the website’s operators to third parties in the manner as specified within this Privacy Policy and that is in accordance with the Data Protection Act (Chapter 440 of the Laws of Malta).

The Website

On this website, we administer a key component of an innovative and revolutionary pan-European self-regulatory programme for online behavioural advertising (a practice of serving more relevant ads to internet users based on inferred interests). This self-regulatory programme provides internet users like you with an unprecedented level of transparency and control over online behavioural advertising.

Transparency is provided by a universally recognisable “OBA icon”, available with accompanying text in all official EU languages (e.g. AdChoices), that will appear wherever participating companies are collecting and processing data for online behavioural advertising purposes. When clicking on the icon, users will be presented with clear and comprehensible information about online behavioural advertising.

The icon will also give users the ability to exercise choice and control over online behavioural advertising by participating companies through the tools and resources provided; such tools and resources include this website. This website covers European Union / European Economic Area (EU/EEA) countries and includes an easy-to-use functionality (available to any user from any EU/EEA country) that will turn off online behavioural advertising for users (from participating companies) if they so choose. This functionality does not turn off untailored advertising from participating companies. One of the most remarkable features of this website is that it has been built following an industry-wide commitment, backed by the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) and its network of well-established and widely recognised national Self-Regulatory Organisations across Europe, which work to ensure effective complaints handling systems, independent and free of charge to users.

Your Personal Information

When you provide us with any feedback through means available to you on this website, we may collect and process your personal information such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number. This information will not be used for any purpose other than addressing your feedback which may, in certain instances, require the sharing of such information with the relevant national Self-Regulatory Organisation for complaint handling purposes. No other personal information will be passed on to other third parties. Your personal information will be deleted when the matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of both you and the EDAA.

If you would like to exercise your right of access to your personal information or if you would like to correct your information, please contact us at the address at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.
